Genevapop - Bottom of the Hill show flyer (unfinished)

I started to draw a poster for my band Genevapop's final show at Bottom of the Hill, August 17th in San Francisco with Tremor Low and Riot Earp (later changed to Mothra Washington, their side project).  Tremor Low already hired an artist to make one though, which is fine with me so I only got this far before I was told.  I planned on illustrating three heads to signify the sound/feel of each band, like a movie poster.  This head represents Riot Earp, a Johnny Cash influenced, Americana experimental band.  Post-punk/goth band, Tremor Low's head was going to be a woman's, like the one on their album covers.  I was going to use the singer from Siouxsie and the Banshees' head for reference, of which my band also does a remixed cover of their song Christine.  For Genevapop I was going to use Bernard Sumner of New Order's head, since I think he personifies our sound and content most accurately.  I'd have added other features like glasses so it's not false advertising of course.

Come see our show on August 17th!  I've seen the other two bands, and can tell you we all make the most of our live performance.

Character Collage

Got together with some fellow artists at Cafe du Soleil in the Lower Haight, San Francisco for a weekly drawing session called Hermit Club.  Someone suggested a possible Adventure Time theme, so I took a crack at the aesthetic here.  Maybe more like Keith Haring but nevertheless, interlocking shapes are a beautiful thing.
